EXCITEMENT is building ahead of the debut of Cheshire’s newest festival.

Bonnie Tyler, Scouting for Girls, Paul Young, Kim Wilde and Toploader are just some of the names that will take to the stage at the inaugural Brit Fest this summer.

The event is organised by Olivier Award-nominated brothers Anthony and Edward Prophet who have now released the map detailing everything the festival has to offer.

Anthony said: “With three months to go until we throw open the festival ground doors, it’s full steam ahead behind the scenes to make sure the Brit Fest is the most exciting and successful event of the summer.

“We’ve brought together a brilliant line-up of talent to thrill music fans and a huge range of entertainment and experiences for audiences of all ages – 100 acres of it in fact - on one festival ground.

“Whether you’re a regular festivalgoer or someone who has thought about going to a festival but never done it until now, we can promise you a very special weekend this July.”

The Brit Fest takes place at the Ashley Hall Showground in Altrincham from July 5 to July 7.

The site has been split into eight key areas – Music Arena, Action Zone, Village Green, Glamping, Camping, Parking, VIP Parking and Motor Homes.

Alongside star names performing on the main stage is a full line-up of bands, choirs, DJs, authors and motivational speakers who will take to the ABC+ Warranty Stage.

The Action Zone will play host to a wide range entertainment including the John Collins Fun Fair and the Extreme Mountain Bike Show featuring five-time British champion Danny Buttler and his team performing jaw-dropping stunts.

Meanwhile, the Village Green will include a Mindful Meadow with yoga and a Tinker Town with rides for younger children.

There will also be a Taste Cheshire Village featuring 60 local producers and retailers.

The Village Green will also boast axe throwing, a Royal Marines and Commando experience, and meet-and-greets with the Manchester Storm ice hockey team.

Alongside this is the Sol Cinema, a solar-powered vintage caravan showing classic British short films, and the Big Hat Tipi Children’s Cinema for younger viewers.
