A SUSPECTED shoplifter was chased by police after running away from a store at a Wilmslow shopping park.
Officers spotted a man fleeing a shop at Handforth Dean Retail Park at around 8pm last night, Monday.
A 55-year-old man was arrested.

A Cheshire Police spokesman said: “At around 8pm on Monday, April 29, police on patrol in Handforth became aware of a man fleeing a store at Handforth Dean Retail Park.
“Officers pursued the man on foot and he was located nearby and arrested on suspicion of shoplifting.
“A number of items which are believed to be stolen were also recovered.
“The 55-year-old man from Manchester remains in custody at this time.”
